Jeannine Nichole Talks About the Versality of Romantic Suspense (Episode 137)
On this episode of “The Romantic Side of Suspense,” I’m chatting with Jeannine Nichole, who grew up in Harris County, Texas where she daily cultivates her strong faith and relationship with God. She graduated from Houston Baptist (now Houston Christian) University with a degree in English and psychology. Shortly after graduating college, she lost her speech and was unable to speak coherently for a year and eight months. When she felt all hope was lost, God sent her to a stranger who prayed for her. The next day, the clarity of her speech returned.
Unfortunately, it is not always consistent. There are times it is still quite a struggle for her to speak. However, despite sporadic speech loss, she still has many stories to tell. Thankfully the Lord has gifted her with the pen (or keyboard, rather) to tell them all.
Her goal is to take each reader on a journey through the world of her books and cast them into the hearts and minds of her characters. She strives to write stories that help her readers understand multiple mindsets. It is her hope not only to entertain her audience, but also enlighten them.
“[I like writing romantic suspense] because there’s no lull,” Jeannine said. “If things start getting boring in this genre, you can throw in a car chase or gun shots can ring out and then you’re off on another leg of your adventure.”
